A long time ago I came across some space art on this site and went I want to do this and the result was: [link] which was pretty poor. So recently I got the idea to re-do my first piece ever with my current skills and came up with this.

At first I was going to try to keep it to pure painting for the foreground, but once i started putting in the space part it just didnt match in style and opted for photo-manipulation instead. The original ocean I had painted was actually kind of nice but as for the clouds that's something I still need to get better at :|

Great work! have been thinkering with this style myself..
Great texture..
Espesially like the cities, they added a very nice touch..
And this work has a nice calm to it too... :)

great improvement, I'd say. :P The whole space part, especially the planets are gorgeous. I really like the smoothness and the deep blues you have used. Nice work. :)
